health and safety issues equipping delegates to contribute
positively on Safety Committees and to enable them to act effectively
in their capacity as safety representatives in accordance with
The Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations (SRSCR) 1977
The Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 1996
The course covers the following topics

legal framework of safety

health and welfare at work legislation

the ability to identify potential hazards and assess the risk associated

understand functions and role of safety representative within the organisation

help prevent accidents at work

investigate accidents at work

carry out basic safety audits or inspections as required.
